School Days are here...

Swimming lessons were AWESOME! Caroline did better than I would have ever imagined. By the end of her two weeks with Garrett, she was jumping off the side, swimming to him, and floating on her back.
And, she even made a few new friends...

We do still feel more "confident" with our floaties...but we have come a LONG way since June! I am so proud of her.
Before school started on August 16, we did a few last "girl" things before summer was over. We took our first trip to the American Girl store in Dallas with Ashlee (roomie from ACU) and her two girls. Needless to say, they had a blast! We ended the day by having lunch at Nordstrom.
Caroline and Henslee...BIG girls!

The following Saturday, Caroline and I had a girls "spa" day (if you can call it that). I had her hair cut almost 1 1/2 inches! :( But, it does look so cute...

After, we went and had a pedicure. I even sprung for the extra flower and *bling* for Miss C!

Well, its official...Caroline is a "schooler."
Here are a few snapshots from her first day...

With her friend (since 18 months), Haylei.

So far, she is loving school and coming home with new songs and tidbits everyday.

That's my SILLY girl....

Last week, I headed to Atlanta for the Meals On Wheels national conference, and left Caroline and Josh "home alone." My house was quite a mess, but they were still in one piece and didn't look like they went hungry! In fact, one morning, the were up EARLY enough to eat breakfast at McDonalds...with hair fixed and all!

She helped Daddy fix broken sprinkler heads in the yard...well, sort of!

More tales to come, Im sure, so stay tuned...Hope all are having a great beginning of the school year!
