As Promised...

The Holidays this year were so much fun with Miss C! She definitely got the "whole" thing from decorating the house, Santa bringing and getting presents. We still would not sit in Santa's lap, but couldn't wait until he came to "my house!"

Here are some of my favorite pictures from over the Holidays.

Enjoy!

We started off the Season by seeing "Rudolph" at Casa Manana. I never dreamed that she would stay still. But, to my amazement, she watched the entire show!

Meeting the cast...

Decorating the house with Mimi & Grandy. She was so excited about having lights on her house. Everytime someone would come over, she would want to take them outside exclaiming, "I have lights on my house!"

Caroline really loved her pink Christmas tree. She decorated it (most of it) by herself. She is getting to be such a big girl! In fact, she loved it so much, that when it was time to take it down she was upset. Needless to say, we now have a VALENTINE'S DAY tree in our house!

Oh--the things you do for your children.

We celebrated LeBus Christmas in Arlington this year, and Caroline got all of her favorites. She is really into anything princess, ballerina, and dolls. Check out her outfits!

AND...He Came!
Daddy gave her a pink softball glove...a lefty! Goes great with her princess dress, huh? I don't think they are going to let her wear it to practice!

The week after Christmas through the New Year, we were in Angel Fire. Always such a wonderful time!

We then travelled to Odessa to celebrate the Holidays with the Jacksons. Caroline got a precious red car from Mama & Papa. She really has enjoyed riding it. With the weather as nice as its been, we need to let her practice pedaling more. She still has issues running into walls! I know she will eventually get it. While we were there, Caroline also got to meet her new cousin, Graham (Rainey & Ryan's second little one). He is the spitting image of Gabe!

All and all, 2008 was a great year for us all, and we wish you a wonderful 2009 (belated)!

I will try my best to keep this up-to-date during the year...along with all my OTHER "resolutions!"

NO...we have not fallen off the face of the earth!

I am so sorry for the LONG delay in posting anything here. We are all good, and Caroline is growing and developing into quite a little girl. It makes me so sad that she is no longer my baby. Although, she still reminds me that she is "Mommy's Baby," so I will take it!

She is now 2 1/2 and talking unbelievably! She says things I did not even think she knew about...and talk about SASS! WOW--how they go from being completely dependent on you to wanting to do everything for themselves.

She is truly the joy of our lives, and brings us more laughter than we could have ever imagined. I will post pictures soon from the Holidays, our trip to Angel Fire, and everything in between.

Thanks for being patient! Love-Me

Enjoying Fall

Greetings! The last several weeks have been full of excitement as we have been enjoying fall, even if has not felt very "fallish." We visited a local pumpkin patch for some super cute pictures of Caroline. And, early in the month, we traveled to Lafayette for Josh's cousin's wedding. We had a nice time, and Caroline had a BLAST at the reception. Cannot say much for our experience at the wedding ceremony. She is not a bit shy, and loves to dance in the center of everything. I wonder where she gets that?! Must be her daddy, right? Ha!
And, she also loved staying in the hotel. Here are a few shots of her "livin' it up!"
Halloween also came and went and she had a large day at school where they trick-or-treated the church offices and went on a hayride. Her class was so cute! She was a very tired mouse when she got home. Therefore, we chose to not trick-or-treat Friday night, but stayed in. I think she loved giving away candy as much as getting it! Every time the doorbell rang, she would squeal and run to the door. She was most generous with her candy too. We ran out very early, but that was OK by me!

The following night we went to Henslee's birthday party, which was a dress-up party. The kids were really cute!
Fall is also never complete with FOOTBALL! And, this year, more than ever...we have been glued to the Tech games. After the nail-biting win over Texas, we have been so pumped...
Go Red Raiders!

Josh has been working hard with Caroline to teach her how to say "Go Red Raiders" with her guns up. She made her daddy proud when we traveled to Lubbock at the first of November for the OSU game.

Her favorite parts of the game was when the masked rider rode across the field, and the announcer saying..."And another Red Raider, FIRST DOWN!"

Since Tech dominated the field for most of the game, this became a common saying throughout the game. Caroline really got into it. I guess she is going to be a Tech fan, after all! And, of course we had to end the evening with a cup of $5 hot chocolate and a shoulder ride with her daddy...priceless!

Hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I will try and do better in getting more pictures up in a timely fashion!

Is it Really October?

Wow! It's been over a month since I have blogged. Caroline is such a ham, and there is never a dull moment around the Jackson house. Whether it is dressing herself,
playing dress up,

Pictures from her "princess tea party" at school. The girls were too cute.

or, playing with her new kitchen. Josh and I stay quite satisfied on grilled up (plastic) hot dogs and imaginary coffee!

Chef Caroline

In September, Caroline graduated from the "baby class" to the 2's. Such a big girl...here are a few pictures from her school program.

Ms. Judy's Monkeys

I had so bragged on my "advanced," barely-2 year old, and early signs of potty training. Well, I spoke too soon! She is has totally digressed. She is no longer even interested in the potty...will not sit on it, and completely satisfied to have a wet or stinky diaper. So, as hard headed as she is (like her parents) we may have quite a fight ahead of us. I am going to lay off it for a bit, and go back to it later. Even though, I really want her out of diapers! Advice, anyone?

We also recently made her baby bed into a "big girl" bed. She loves it! I really expected her to be standing at our bedside on a regular basis, or not staying in her bed. Except for a few nights, she has done great.

Two weekends ago, we had a "mini" ACU reunion with my old roomies and friends. It was so fun to see everyone and their kids! Can you believe that it has be TEN years since we left Abilene!? My reunion is October 25th. Unfortunately, I am not going to be able to be there. I am somewhat disappointed, but most of my closest friends are in the DFW area, or we stay in touch. Not to mention the craziness of the Facebook phenomenon!

The coming weeks prove to be busy, as usual. One of my college friends will be in to visit this weekend, and we have an out-of-state wedding later in the month, followed by Halloween! Caroline is going to be Minnie Mouse this year. She is going to be the cutest Minnie Mouse ever!
